Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Is it considered disobedience to one's parents if a person cuts his hair in a way disliked by one's parents (or they explicitly tell not to cut them like that). However, the cut itself is permissible, like getting a really short buzz cut or similar.

Why would you disobey your parents in something like this? It's something very, very insignificant. You can find a way to do something that is pleasing for both of you.
