I think your insistence on knowing the ruling is highly likely because of a condition of waswas. Therefore, we should not give an answer to that, as constantly looking for validation just fuels waswas and increases the problem. You have to ignore these thoughts. If somebody does or says something by mistake, then he is not held accountable for it, inshaAllah.
