السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته What's the permissibility of extreme sports in Islam?

The Messenger ﷺ said, "لا ضرر ولا ضرار," meaning do not harm yourself and do not harm others. If these sports fall into this category, there is no need for such a thing. This is just a hobby or for having fun. Even if somebody says they want to know how to protect themselves, they do not have to harm themselves or others. It is not just about striking the face, by the way. If we did that, we would be going against this Hadith of the Messenger ﷺ.
