السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته أحسن الله إليكم My wife wants to wear a tighter hijab (showing only shoulder shape, rest of body is loose) just for doctor visits to be taken seriously, as she's faced insults. I told her I don't allow it, but she claims it's a necessity. What is the scholarly view?

What I know from the scholars' views is that she stays at home, does not need to work, and takes care of the family and the children while the man goes to work and provides for them. As for showing the shoulders and so on (meaning showing the shape of them), you can look at the fatwa of Imam Ibn Baz, as well as some of the most senior of the scholars, where they say that this is not allowed.
