My husband wants to work in a mixed, non-segregated government office. I advised him against this, saying that I prefer to struggle financially than for him to do such a thing. He says mixed work is unavoidable (which is not true), and that if I want, he can be jobless and I pay him. Any advice?

If he is capable of working in a non-mixed environment, then we should remind him of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala). Remind him that Allah said the meaning of which is: "And whosoever fears Allah, Allah gives him an exit and bestows for him, provides for him from where he doesn't expect." Also, I would like to caution the wife to talk to him nicely and gently, using beautiful and kind words. She should not be challenging or speak in a way that would upset him
