أحسن الله إليكم Sheikh, when I make dua should I send salawat upon the prophet ﷺ before or after I say ameen?

Saying "Ameen" is not necessary. Do you mean before or after the Du'a? Yes, you can do it in the beginning of the Du'a or after the Du'a or both in the beginning and after.
