If a cat drinks from a dogs bowl, is the cats saliva now impure?

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
If one is certain that a dog has licked a vessel (which is considered a severe impurity), and then a cat licks the same vessel while it is still wet, the impurity is transferred to the cat. The area of the vessel that was licked must be washed seven times, one of which should be with soil or soap (a cleaner basically). If the dog’s saliva, while still wet, comes into contact with the cat’s body, it must be purified. However, if it is dry or there is doubt, then the الأصل (default ruling) is purity.
