Ahsan Allah Ilaykum Ustadh Al-Karim, a brother asks: I accidentally stepped on broken glass and my foot has been bleeding and in pain which makes it very difficult to walk and stand. Can I wipe over my feet with dust like in tayammum due to the wound and can I pray sitting? Jazaak Allahu Khayr!

No, you just do your wudu by that which you are capable of. If the doctors tell you not to wash it, not to wipe on it, and to stay away from it, then leave it. That's not a problem. Some of the people of Ilm say that you do tayammum, but not for the body part itself so that you put sand on it. No, you just do the tayammum itself, like how you normally do it. However, I do not think that it is correct to do wudu and tayammum together. It is either this or that, and in this case, you can do wudu.
