أحسن الله إليكم Who from the salaf and khalaf recorded the ijma of musical instruments being haram? ‏جزاك الله خيرا

Do you need an ijma' in every single matter of the religion in order to understand that it is forbidden, mandatory, or allowed? In this way, a lot of the deen could be dismissed because there isn't an ijma', simply because there is that one alim who was wrong and held the wrong opinion. To then say, "let's follow the wrong opinion," is not the way in which a student of knowledge, let alone a Muslim, should go about learning and applying his religion.
