How do I respond to someone who says umar ra commanded ppl to pray 20 rakah despite knowing the prophet Muhammad ﷺ better than us,and he did not pray 8? The person claims we do not follow the salaf because we don't pray 20 even after umar ra did so and umar ra couldn't be wrong JazakAllahuKhairan

Our mother Aisha (RadhiAllahu Anha wa Ardaha) reported to us that the Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) did not surpass eleven rak'ahs in his night prayer, neither in Ramadan nor outside of Ramadan. Our mother Aisha is from the Salaf As-Saleh, and in these matters, there is actually a lot of room. Such arguments should not be taking place. A person who is knowledgeable understands: 1. There is a lot of room in issues like this. 2. How the Salaf As-Saleh carried it out. 3. What is allowed is not strictly limited. We shouldn't be arguing and bickering in regards to matters like these. JazakumAllahu khayran.
