، السلام عليكم ورحمة الله أحسن الله إليكم For zakat fitr: I heard it must be given on or a few days before Eid, so is it wrong to send money (for fitrana) to a distributor at the start of Ramadan? And if the poor receive fitrana before my Eid (due to different moon sighting) is it still valid?

You can send it to someone who will buy the food on your behalf and feed the poor in the designated time or one or 2 days before eid. We have explained this in details in manhaj assalikeen.
