أحسن الله إليك I heard that buying much perfume is not considered waste. But what if one(me) has a larger amount, like, maybe, 40 bottles… they are all used, in different occasions and times of the day, but I just want to be sure I am not being sinful by having soo much perfume May Allah reward you

Imam Ibn ʿUthaymīn said: As for perfume, there is no doubt that if a person is wealthy and buys good, expensive perfume, he is not considered wasteful, especially since good perfume—as is well known—lasts for a long time and has a better fragrance. However, if a person is of moderate means or poor, then buying such expensive perfume would be considered extravagance for him. Liqāʾāt al-Bāb al-Maftūḥ (8 / Question No. 24).
