السلام عليكم و رحمة الله government athan app showed there is 40 seconds left untl fajr but the masjid started the athan before it reached. So right muadhin started i grabbed water and i drank it. Is the fast invalid? Also opposite, grabbing drink after the athan time but muadhin didnt start?

It is not about the athan but the correct time. The athan might be accurate or off by many minutes.
