My wife and I fell into intimate affairs during 2 ramadans ago (we knew it wasn't allowed). We could hardly pray salah properly back then as we were reverts (little to no knowledge of purity, nullifiers, wajibat etc of the salah), more so our fasting. Is the kaffarah obligated upon us? You knew it was forbidden but you didn't know there was an expiation, the fuqaha mentioned that this does not excuse you from it. Therefore, you fast 2 months in a row, if you sre not capable, then u feed 60 poor people each half a sa' 1.5 kilo for example of rice or dates etc... (of what people commonly eat in your country)
