احسن الله إليك السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Are there multiple views regarding whether or not a person is rewarded for imitating Nabi ﷺ which comes under Mubah? Eg: Covering head while praying. جزاك الله خيرا

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
Translation: Imam Ibn Bāz said: Ordinary matters in which the Prophet ﷺ did not give a command and did not persist upon—such as types of food, types of clothing, and similar things that the Prophet ﷺ did not consistently adhere to—indicate that these are ordinary matters. This also includes issues such as growing the hair or shaving it, and wearing a shirt, or an izār and ridā’. Question: Who said that an action for which no reward, prohibition, or command is established is considered a habit? The Shaykh replied: The basic principle is to emulate the Prophet ﷺ, except in matters that are ordinary and upon which he did not persist. These are considered ordinary practices—sometimes he would do them and sometimes he would leave them. They are ordinary matters of the category of clothing and similar things, and types of food and the like. Question: Is a person rewarded for performing these ordinary practices? The Shaykh replied: Allah knows best.
