Ustadh, how can we purify our intentions and work harder and study longer for talab al ilm? I make dua in every salah and times when dua is accepted for increase in beneficial ilm, but i find myself extremely weak in ability and consistency despite my strongest efforts.

There are many reasons like sins, overwhelming yourself, not enough relaxation, maybe you are focusing too much on what is difficult for you, it could be many things that we can pay attention to and see if it is the problem or not.
