Assalamu Alaykum, my mother and I had a conversation about how she is entitled to my mahr just because she took care of me when I was small and I was trying to explain to her that’s it’s would be my mahr and if i choose to give it to her that I can but I don’t plan on doing so. What should I do?

Let her ask any trustworthy mufti and not 1 of them will tell her she can take 1 cent from it. It is all yours and no one is entitled to anything from it. As for if u want to give out of generosity, you can do whatever you want.
