2. I work in the field of medicine and have been invited to take part in the association of doctors from the same country as me, to exchange information etc but many of them are not so religious, should I decline this to avoid fitna or should I attend and try to remind people of the eternal life?

If there is fitnah and u don't want to go because of that, then that is better. However, I don't know the maslahah in you going, therefore you decide best.
