Ahad is category which has gharib, Aziz and Mashur in it. And it is not mutwaatir. In Summer Darwah, Sheikh mentioned that Ahad is not huja in Aqeedah. So the first hadith of sahih al bukhari is gharib and it give us the aqeedah that "reward is based upon intention" so do we take this hadith. ?

The people of sunnah and jama'ah say ahad ahadeeth are considered in aqeedah and if the speaker meant this and didnt mistakenly have said it or u didn't misunderstand what he has said then he should be avoided and not taken from. There is no difference we believe in ahad or mutawatir in all aspects of the religion no exceptions.
