I went to my sister's house for family dinner. After I went my brother in law got a surprise birthday cake. I refused to eat the cake. But in these situations if someone gave me a surprise birthday cake. Should I reject the food?or eat it not waste it? Or can I donate it to someone in need?

It is better to show them that u don't accept this and tell them very nicely that you really appreciate their feelings and so on, but u show them that it is haram may Allah preserve u all.
