Salam Alaikum Ustadh, A person & his family are originally from India, and they migrated to UK. Is it permissible for that person and his family to give up their Indian Citizenship and apply for British Citizenship ?

They r both non Muslim countries, so if this is to help you move to a Muslim country and do Hijrah yes.
