أحسن الله إليكم شيخنا⁨ In the Sharh of Qawaid Al-Muthla, Imam Ibn Uthaymeen seems to disagree with the view of the possibility of seeing Allah in dreams, except for the Prophet ﷺ. However, I heard that some of the Salaf reported seeing Allah in their dreams. What would be the correct view, Ustadh?

Imam Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, and others mentioned that a person may see his Lord in a dream, but what he sees is not the true reality, for nothing resembles Allah, the Most High.”
