What is considered a part of the masjid ? Is the outside area of a masjid including the courtyard considered a part of itv I am visiting masjid Al-Nabawi, the chemical smell of the carpet cleaning solution is very caustic/painful to my stomach. Can I sit in the outside area and attain 1000x ajr?

Imam Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The expansions added to Al-Masjid al-Haram and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi take the same ruling as the original structure. Prayer performed in these expanded areas receives the same multiplied reward as in the original mosque — a grace and kindness from Allah.”
