Ahsan Allahu ilaykum. What are the rulings on miscarriage? At what point is the blood considered nifaas and she doesn't pray? Do the rewards mentioned for the death of children apply even if it was early pregnancy?

Imam Ibn Bāz said: > As for the woman who miscarries a fetus, the ruling depends on the situation: If the miscarriage is merely blood — meaning it has not yet taken the form of a fetus — then it is not considered a fetus, and the blood that comes out is not postnatal bleeding (nifās). In this case, she must continue to pray and fast, and it remains permissible for her husband to have relations with her. Since the embryo is only about two or three months old, it is, in most cases, still unformed; such blood is corrupt blood (dam fāsid), not menstrual or postnatal. The clotted blood that has come out should simply be buried anywhere, at home or in the yard — it is not taken to the cemetery, as it is not a human being. She continues her prayers and fasting, and this blood is treated like the blood that flows from ordinary wounds — it is impure blood, but it does not prevent her from prayer, fasting, or marital relations, because it is not nifās and not menstruation. However, if there is flesh formed and features of a human being appear — even faintly, such as a head, leg, or hand — and the woman herself or a trustworthy midwife confirms that this tissue bears human form, then this is considered a child, and the woman is regarded as being in postnatal bleeding (nifās).
