Sheikh, my parents are suggesting I go to dinners and say that there is no free mixing. The men sit on one side of the house and the women on the other side. But there isn’t really an actual barrier between them. Should I go or stay home?

Let them put a barrier as there will be haram looking and mingling maybe, therefore sitting in different rooms is best.
