السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته If one intends to sacrifice a cow along with 6 other people. Does it count for each one of the 7 people’s family? Also do they have to intend each person specifically or intending general family sufficient?

The fatwa of Imam Ibn Baz is: It is permissible for a man to offer the sacrificial animal (the seventh share of a cow or camel) on behalf of himself and his household, because a man and his family are considered as one entity. Therefore, I see no objection to it being on behalf of both him and his household. There is no harm in that. Some of our brothers among the scholars have hesitated regarding this matter, thinking that it involves including more than one person (in the intention), but this view is not sound, because a man and his family are considered as one unit.
