Imam Ibn Bāz said: “And whenever it is possible to dispense with the non-Muslim doctor or the non-Muslim female doctor, it is preferable to turn instead to Muslim doctors and Muslim female doctors. But when there is a need, when Muslim doctors and female doctors are not sufficient, then there is no objection to making use of the non-Muslim doctor or the non-Muslim female doctor when there is need of them—while taking care not to allow them to expose Muslims to harm, or to invite Muslims to anything that would harm them; that is, with regard to any of the symbols of their disbelief and misguidance. Rather, they should remain occupied with their medical task, not employing it as a means to harm Muslims by calling them to falsehood, or teaching them falsehood, or anything similar to that which would harm the Muslims.”
