,السلام علیکم و رحمة الله و بركاته Is it praiseworthy to wear clothes so that people will identify you as a Muslim (Thawb, Kurta, Kufi, Shemagh) in dar-al-kufr so that kuffar may ask you about Islam, an avenue for da'wah? What about to wear them so you look 'Muslim'? !بارك الله فيك وأكرمك أستاذ

Ibn ʿUthaymīn said: “A garment of fame (thawb al-shuhrah) does not have a specific form or characteristic. Rather, what is meant by a garment of fame is that which makes a person well-known or pointed at because of it, so that people in gatherings begin to talk: ‘So-and-so wore such-and-such, so-and-so wore such-and-such.’ Based on this, a single garment might be considered a garment of fame for one person, but not for another. Therefore, a garment of fame is anything outside the customary dress of the people, such that its wearer becomes noted and tongues wag about him. The prohibition against wearing a garment of fame was legislated so that it would not become a cause for people to backbite him and thus incur sin by speaking against him.”
