Is it permissible for a mother and son to sleep in a bed but seperated

Imam al-Nawawī (may Allah have mercy on him) said: > “It is not permissible for a man to lie in the same bed with another man, nor for a woman with another woman, even if each of them is on one side of the bed. And when a boy or girl reaches the age of ten, it becomes obligatory to separate them from their mother, father, sister, and brother in sleeping arrangements.” — Rawdat al-Ṭālibīn (7/28).
