Salamualikum sheikh what is the ruling for backbiting? Is it considered backbiting if i talk about someone or something that is private but I don't reveal their identification of who said this to me? Jazakallahukhair

If you do not designate the person, and people do not know who you mean, it is not considered as back biting. But if you don't name the person and people unserstand who it is then this is backbiting.
