Asalamu Alaykum Shaykh, I heard a shaykh say that saying verse instead of ayah for the Quran is Kufr and his claim is that verse means "part of the bible" or "some part of poetry". So is it haram or kufr to call Ayah as Verse?

Many people use it without intending that at all, so we should just advise them saying brothers don't say verse, say ayah instead.
