Asalamu alaikum Ustadh It’s common practice in the subcontinent to hold occasions for weddings other than nikkah and walima which are mostly inspired by hindu traditions. Is it allowed to attend them if they are for a close relative? And what if the occasions are unrelated to unislamic beliefs?
