i(from germany ) am studying arabic in saudi arabia fo 6 weeks and i live at the same place there all the time, am i considered a traveler until i get home to germany and can i therefore shorten the prayers and pray the prayers together and is it mandatory for me to pray at the masdjid everytime

You can shorten yes if you are there for a limited period of time and a need once it is done you will go back, for example in 1 month or so, and praying at the masjid is not mandatory upon you.
