أحسن الله إليك If a woman is traveling and is in a situation where removing her scarf for doing Wudu would be very hard then can she wipe over her scarf instead?

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
Shaykh Ibn Bāz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: > "She is not allowed to do that; rather, she must wipe over the head itself, just as a man wipes over his head as well. However, if she is wearing a khimār (head covering) that she has tightly wrapped and tied around her head, and it is difficult for her to remove it, then she may wipe over it for a day and a night—if she put it on in a state of ṭahārah (ritual purity)—just like a man who wears a turban after ablution; he may wipe over it for a day and a night after breaking his wuḍū’, if the turban is wrapped tightly, because removing it may cause some hardship. Likewise is the tightly wrapped khimār worn by a woman—if she tied and secured it around her head and put it on while in a state of ṭahārah, she may wipe over it for a day and a night, just as she would wipe over the khuffayn (leather socks), as men do."
