Assalaamu alaikum, I am currently residing in a kaafir country. When I am working, is it appropriate to greet (give salaam) to non-mahram muslims? Should I avoid this? Just to clarify, I dont go out of my way to do this, only when I see someone while working. JazakAllahu khair

Giving salam is not haram, freemixing, laughing, joking, etc is what is feared as it leads to unlawful relations.
