Around 1–2 years ago, I lent a friend money with an agreed repayment date, but he didn’t pay me back. He said he hadn’t forgotten and would repay when able. Soon after, he faced major hardship and we lost contact for a year. We’re now in touch again. I feel bad asking, what would you advise me?

If he is in hardship it is good that u give him time until Allah makes it easy for him and he pays. If u see thay his condition is good u can remind him akhi of your right.
