A sister asked: I’m currently speaking to a man for marriage. My father threatens to not be my wali for Nikah if I wear Niqab. He says I can wear it after Nikah. Can I remove it to get married? Note: I need marriage to strengthen my Deen & Iman. I believe Niqab is wajib, but my father doesn’t.

So what? He can appoint someone else as your wali, and if he will refuse to marry you off unless you take off the niqab, then the next wali in line can be your wali or the Muslim judge. Do not disobey Allah for anyone.
