Is an online nikkah valid? I'm a revert living 3 hours from the Islamic centre willing to perform our nikkah. I have no mahram to travel with, as my family opposes Islam. The imam suggested an online nikkah with witnesses, with him acting as my wali. Would this be valid?

There are views regarding this, and some wcholars allowed it. However, if the 3 hour trip is culturally not considered as travelling so people usually don't pack their bags and say their goodbyes as a traveller would do then you can go.
