Shaykh, how can I seek reward from Allah in everyday actions like sleeping, eating, exercising, and studying by intending them to help me obey Him? Does this make permissible actions acts of worship? Must I consciously renew my intention each time, and how do I avoid bid‘ah?

Yes. A permissible act done with the intention of helping yourself obey Allah is rewarded, and Muʿādh raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu hoped for reward in his sleep as he did in his night prayer. Some scholars said a general intention suffices.
