Is wearing kohl for beautification for men allowed

‎Kohl (ithmid) for the eyes is a sunnah for men, as the Prophet ﷺ‎ used it. However many people mistake this with the kohl which is make up for women like eye liners etc. This is not the kohl that was meant, it is a type of medicine that is beneficial to you. Also only use it after consulting with a doctor as you might be sensitive to it or it might affect your health in a way you did not know about.
