if the imam goes into ruku before i finish fatiha, i know i go into ruku too, because foillowing the imam is more important. is it the same when being led by my husband in prayer at home, if he finishes fatiha before me and goes into ruku, do i stop reciting and go into ruku too

Yes, your husband is your imam in that prayer, so when he bows you bow with him and the rest of al-Fatihah drops from you.
